Charmingjointeu aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where practicable. We align our approach with the New Zealand Government Web Standards and the Human Rights Act 1993, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks, headings, and descriptive labels
- Keyboard navigable menus, forms, tabs, and interactive components
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds
- Alternative text on images and descriptive link text
- Responsive design for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices
- Visible focus states for interactive elements
- Reduced reliance on motion — animations are subtle and non-essential
Known limitations
Some third-party content, such as embedded Google Maps on our contact page, may not fully meet accessibility standards. We are exploring alternative ways to present location information.
We continue to review and improve the accessibility of our digital platform. Some older content may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.
